Lisa L. Patterson, assistant professor of communication, received her
Bachelor of Arts degree East Stroudsburg University in speech communication,
a Master of Arts degree from James Madison University in Counseling
Psychology with an emphasis in Student Personnel Administration and her
Ph.D. in organizational communication from Ohio University. Her area of
specialization is in organizational communication.

Dr. Patterson¹s research interests center on the intersections of personal
and organizational life, the experiences of African American women and
explorations of the African American family.

In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Patterson also serves as a
member of Integrative Public Relations (IPR) Council.
