Since its founding in 1892, more than 140,000 students have received their degree from CMU. John Rutherford, CDA graduate, won the 22nd Annual Guvvy Arts Educator Award
Birmingham, Michigan – On an evening resplendent with red carpet arrivals, percussion fanfare and world-class art, Groves High School theatre arts teacher, and CMU graduate John W. Rutherford was awarded the Guvvy for Arts Education. The Guvvy is the nickname of the Governor’s Award for Arts and Culture, awarded each year in 12 categories by ArtServe Michigan. The 22nd annual awards ceremony was held this year at the newly renovated Detroit Institute of Arts on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. |
